Slushy Silver Star
March 4, 2010 · Leave a Comment
So it’s been quite awhile since my last update and due to some life craziness I totally let the blog slide. So I’ve been working tons at a housekeeping job up at Silver Star, it sucks but it pays the bills for now. I also headed back to Saskatchewan and did a big loop of a road trip going through Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, and Jasper before heading home to Vernon. I hit up the Rail Wars comp at Asessippi which was super fun! I think you can check out pictures and info on the Asessippi website.
Anyways now we’re just riding silver star, we had a hesh day on Wednesday. The boys dressed up in their tight pants and sunglasses just as a joke so here’s the pictures from our adventure. Hopefully we’ll have some footage up soon.

Sister Act

“Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there.” -Amy Li
My sister flew out to Vernon to visit this weekend and do some riding up at Silver Star. We went out for night riding on friday night but it was so ridiculously busy that we just ended up wandering around the village for most of the night. We chilled on Saturday and went up to the Vernon SPCA to walk some dogs in our spare time and then enjoyed a bit too much baby duck to end the night. Sunday we got up, made some delicious buttermilk pancakes and then headed up to Silver Star again for the day. It was a perfect bluebird day, and you could see forever. I was so excited that Sadie got a nice day to be up there to take photos. The conditions are a little bit icy right now but in general the riding is still good compared to what they have in Saskatchewan. Here’s some photos from our day…

Think Thank visited Silver Star…awesome!
and Yobeat has a story that you should check out, “Snowboarding Is Not A Crime”
It’s pretty ridiculous actually, I mean what’s so dangerous about snowboarding in a public park? If anything he was definitely helping kids out and keeping them out of harm’s way. Those park rangers pulled a serious power trip on them, and someone needs to straight up tell that lady park ranger where to stick it. Ugh okay rant done…
Avran over at Angrysnowboarder has got the 2011 stepchild preview up for you to check out. Simon Chamberlain’s board graphic is by far my favourite, although the ‘whale cock’ is a close second…
